CHITEN SHOPは、暮らしのなかに自然と溶け込み、日々の風景を静かに彩るテキスタイルを取り扱っています。私たちが選ぶ生地はすべて、日本各地で受け継がれてきた染織の技術と、 つくり手の確かな目と手によって生み出されたものです。
柄や色彩の多くは、日本の原風景や、日常のなかでふと立ち現れる一瞬の美しさを手がかりに、記憶に残る情景としてかたちづくられています。使う糸の選定から、染め・織りの技法まで、すべての工程において日用と、美しさの両立を追求し、使い心地や耐久性を考慮しながら、手にしたときの感触や、空間に置いたときの佇まいにもこだわっています。
私たちは、そうした布たちを一つひとつ丁寧に選び取り、暮らしと感性が出会う「地点」として、皆さまにご紹介しています。
CHITEN SHOP offers textiles such as rugs, cushion covers, and fabrics that quietly blend into everyday life and gently shape the scenery of daily living.All of the fabrics we work with are born from traditional dyeing and weaving techniques passed down across Japan, supported by the skilled eyes and hands of their makers.
Many of the patterns and colors are inspired by Japan’s natural landscapes and fleeting moments of beauty found in everyday life, shaped into scenes that linger in the memory. From the careful selection of yarns to dyeing and weaving techniques, each process seeks a balance between beauty and daily use. We pay close attention to comfort and durability, as well as the tactile feel in hand and the presence a textile brings to a space.
